I printed the Edible Colour monoprints from scored and perforated laser-cut plastic plates, on the etching press at Thames-Side Print Studio. To make each unique print, I overprinted multiple plates, using a combination of intaglio and relief inking techniques. I worked with soy oil-based Akua inks. The luscious hues of these non-toxic inks inspired me to give each print a colour name, which also is an edible fruit or vegetable.
