I have been taking video imagery of wetlands, watersheds and waves for several years and have recently begun to work with my watery archive. In Boiling Seas Acid Seas, I have used high-key unnaturalistic colours to conflate ideas of beauty and peril. Although I have changed the colours, I have not altered the sound. In filming wetlands in the shadow of highways, I became interested in the divergence of image and sound and what the sound revealed about the location beyond the frame.
