Open Studios Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus 30th June 2019

Der Neue Tag, 26. 06.19.jpg

Excerpts In Translation:

As Andrea Lamest, head of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus emphasized at a press conference, the exchange with the ‘Virginia Center for the Creative Arts’ (VCCA) has existed for 30 years. In the beginning, the artists still lived and worked in the Kebbelvilla before additional space was created with the so-called Künstlerhaus II.  Among the (current) artists’ resulting works are a musical critique of Donald Trump, a wall installation called "Poetry of Things" and works of art that combine classical painting with digital technology. Lenore Hart, Howie Kenty, Lisa Young and Anne Krinsky will spend the next few weeks here….

…. Anne Krinsky works with classical means such as painting and printing, as well as with new media. She has chosen the topic of climate change as a focal point. Currently at the Kunstlerhaus, she is layering drafting films printed with photo motifs over painted papers. This creates something completely new for the observers. In addition, the "geometry of architecture" runs through her work. She previously has created video installations of the Thames.
